Palma Cleaning Co. (“Palma,” “we,” “us”) operates a residential and commercial cleaning service in Florida and the Palma Tech mobile app and web portal that customers and our cleaners use to manage bookings. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.
1. Information we collect
We collect four categories of information:
- Account information. Name, email, phone number, password, and (for cleaners on our team) employment information.
- Service information. Service address, scheduled cleaning times, notes you write to us, and saved payment methods.
- Photos taken with the camera.The Palma Tech mobile app uses the device camera, with the cleaner's explicit permission, to capture photos of the home before and after a clean. These images are uploaded to our secure storage and used only for quality control, dispute resolution, and to show the customer their service was completed. Photos are never used for advertising, shared with third parties outside the vendors listed in Section 3, or used to identify or train any model.
- Device and usage information. Information your device sends automatically when you use our app or website, like IP address, device type, app version, and timestamps. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
1a. Why the app requests the CAMERA permission
The Palma Tech app declares android.permission.CAMERA (and the equivalent iOS permission) so cleaners can take before/after photos as described above. The permission is requested only when the cleaner taps the camera button on a job's checklist; if the cleaner declines, the rest of the app continues to work and the cleaner can complete jobs without photos. Photos are uploaded over HTTPS to our private Supabase Storage bucket and accessible only to the customer they belong to and the Palma staff assigned to the job. They are never posted publicly. Retention follows the schedule in Section 4 (two years).
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect only to:
- Schedule, perform, and complete cleaning services for you.
- Send you booking confirmations, reminders, and receipts.
- Charge your saved payment method through Stripe.
- Reply to your messages and resolve issues.
- Pay our cleaners for completed work.
- Improve the service and detect fraud.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising.
3. How we share your information
We share information only with the vendors that help us run the service, and only the minimum each one needs:
- Stripe processes payments. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
- Supabase hosts our database and authentication.
- Twilio delivers SMS and call routing.
- Brevo delivers transactional email.
- Mapboxrenders the map preview on the cleaner's app.
- Google Maps provides the optional Street View image on the admin job page.
We may also share information when required by law (subpoena, court order) or to protect ourselves or someone else from harm.
4. Data retention
We keep account and service records for as long as you are a customer plus seven years afterward, which is the standard retention period for tax and accounting records in Florida. Photos taken during a clean are kept for two years for quality and dispute resolution. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Section 7).
5. Children
The Palma service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
6. Your choices
- Stop SMS reminders by replying STOP to any text we send.
- Stop email by clicking the unsubscribe link in any transactional email or replying with UNSUBSCRIBE.
- See or download the data we hold about you by writing to the address in Section 7.
- Delete your account by writing to the address in Section 7. We will remove your data within 30 days, except records we are required to keep by law.

8. Changes
We may update this policy. If the changes are material we will email you and post a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect.
